High-Performance Computing (HPC)

The Department of Statistics High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment consists of three primary clusters — swan, srf_cpu_01, and srf_gpu_01 — designed to support a wide range of research computing workloads.

It comprises three primary clusters:

  • srf_cpu_01 - high-core-count CPU nodes

  • srf_gpu_01 - GPU-accelerated nodes (Nvidia)

  • swan - a flexible mixed-use cluster for dedicated research groups.

All clusters share a unified Slurm workload manager, consistent software environments, and common storage provided through the department’s NFS (being phased out) and Ceph storage.

Note

Access to the clusters is restricted to authorised users. Please contact the Stats IT team for onboarding assistance.
